BIG BLOCK 454 V8, AUTO W/OD 700R4 TRANS, A/C, POWER STEERING/BRAKES, RUNS GR8- LOOKS BETTER, SHARP!!

The love for muscle cars is something that thankfully permeates so many facets of our world. Movies, pop culture, and, of course, racetracks and car shows. But, at some point, how many Mustangs, Camaros, and Javelins can you have? Sometimes, coloring outside of the normal lines of the industry is just a lot more fun, which is exactly what this 1972 Chevrolet C10 restomod pickup truck stands for.

Right from the jump, this jet-black beauty gives off the impression that it is something special. The modern, glossy, clear coat draws your gaze while your eyes then follow the chrome trim racing along the side of the C10. The lowered stance and the retro-cool polished Torque Thrust II American Racing wheels shod in Nitto NT555 rubber measuring 255/45ZR-18 up front and steam-roller sized 295/40ZR-18 out back all suggest this truck is ready to haul more than bails of hay or cinder blocks.

One look under the hood, however, and you may start to consider throwing some sandbags in that painted bed out back, at least until the pink slips are on the line. Pop the hood, and we dare you to try not to smile with a built 454 big block Chevy staring back at you, sitting wheel well to wheel well. Aluminum heads, chromed accessories, and a good old-fashioned round air cleaner sitting atop an aptly chosen Brawler double pumper carb, all working in conjunction to make gobs of power that is then sent through a set of long tube headers and finally out through a sweet-sounding FlowMaster dual exhaust setup.

Peeking out the window, it is hard to miss the bright red seatbacks urging you to open the door and enter a world that is equal parts plush and playful. The freshly redone bench seat and wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel remind you that while this is a car from the past, your future with it will be plenty comfortable. The stock dashboard sits in front of the driver, with its seven analog gauges, most of which will now move faster than ever before thanks to that monster big block under the hood. A column-shifter gives access to the four-speed 700R4 automatic transmission, while the minimalist HVAC controls make it easy to keep your eyes where they belong. The original stereo does not work, but no matter, as the old ceiling-mounted port for a CB radio has been repurposed with a modern Pioneer unit to add another soundtrack to your road trip aside from the rumble of the FlowMasters.

While it is nice to have a Concours-level factory-correct garage queen that sees maybe five miles of road annually, waiting around for the next stuffy judge to decide how many points it deserves this year, having a badass, lowered classic C10 Chevy pickup truck powered by a monster 454, getting thumbs up at every traffic light and gas station is worth far more than whatever that clipboard says. So, isn’t it about time to let go of that feeling that you are supposed to find some bone-stock Camaro or Mustang? Come and listen to this big block restomod and remember why it’s so much fun to color, or drive, outside the lines. Call now!
